The Bay Area Lay Carmelites will present a Free Formation Session entitled “Happiness in Covid Times: A Spiritual Perspective” on December 12, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). This session will be presented by Patrick Bowles, O.Carm., our Regional Formation Director. The session will be conducted via Zoom and is open to all Lay Carmelites and their guests. No registration is required.

The Bay Area Lay Carmelites will present a Free Formation Session entitled “Holy People: Mother Marianne of Molokai and Ève Lavalliére” on October 22, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). This session will be presented by Patrick Bowles, O.Carm., our new Regional Formation Director. The session will be conducted via Zoom and is open to all Lay Carmelites and their guests. The Society of the Little Flower will be presenting a Virtual Procession, Talk, and Mass on Thursday, July 16, 2020 for the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Events begins at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time (10:30 a.m. Central Time). Pilgrimage to Pentecost Novena

Christopher LaRocca, OCD, including a final reflection on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2020. This audio pilgrimage may be used to prepare for Pentecost in any year. Adjust the dates accordingly.

This year our Fall novena will focus on St. Teresa of Jesus. Each night during the novena we will reflect on one or more topics related to St. Teresa’s life and writings. See dates and locations, as well as topics and presenters here. We will celebrate St. Teresa’s feast day together at our community meeting on October 20.

An Epiphany House Blessing

“Chalking the door” is a way to celebrate and literally mark the occasion of the Epiphany and God’s blessing of our lives and home. With time the chalk will fade. As it does we let the meaning of the symbols written sink into the depths of our heart and be manifest in our words and actions the Latin words, Christus mansionem benedictat, “May Christ bless the house.”
